CES
and TES – Visual Inspection Machines
The CES and TES Inspection machines are automatic, high-output visual
inspection machines designed to inspect/sort either filled capsule
products (CES) or tablets (TES). These machines combine computer
image processing technology with in-line CCD cameras to inspect
and sort capsules (or tablets) based on customer-set criteria.
Features of the CES and TES include:
- 100% inspection
- High-speed, highly accurate
- Automatic calibration
- Graphic touch-screen display panel
- Reject check device
Overview of the Visual Inspection Process:
Capsules (or tablets) feed in from the hopper above and feed down
through the patented Qualicaps three-drum rectification
system. The TES can process both round and non-round tablets. Rectified
capsules (or tablets) are transferred to the inspection drum which
turns intermittently at high speed. CCD cameras inspect all sides
of the capsule/tablet. A slight stop of the inspection drum allows
the capsules/tablets to turn so that all sides can be inspected.
Defective capsules/tablets are discharged from the inspection drum.
A graphic panel is equipped as a standard feature to allow the operator
to view each row of capsules in real time.
Common defects that the CES and TES can detect include appearance
defects such as cracks, foreign material, specks, scrapes, deformation
or different colors.
Highly skilled engineers at Qualicaps will design your
system according to your specific capsule or tablet needs.
